Barking Games was set up in February 2008 by James Young. The original aim of the website was to offer some unique games and also have a database of the best Flash games ever created. At this point there was only one unique game, Puzzle Quest. After a bit it was realized that to draw more people to the site new and exciting Flash games would have to be added on a regular basis. However the way the site was designed did not make this easy so updates were done rarely. The next unique game created for the site was Ball Deflector Puzzle which did not have as good a success rate as Puzzle Quest. A few months later though Time Escape 1 was released and this was a huge success. Only recently the site has been redesigned to not only make it better for people using it but also make it a lot easier to add new games. This is now the focus of the site, adding new games regularly at least twice a week but we will still be creating some unique games of our own.
