25/01/2010:

Sorry about the lack of updates for the past month. This has been due to Internet problems. The name of the account holder for the phone line was changed which meant BT cut us off. The new account holder would need a years contract but we had had enough of BT not solving the very slow Internet speed so the decision was taken to switch to cable. However there was a waiting list of one month to have it installed. Now it is installed the Internet is fine so expect regular updates.

A word of advice. If you can, get rid of your BT phone line. Cable is the way to go.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM BARKING GAMES

Over the past couple of months more game have been added although you may have noticed that recently few games have been added. This is due to the Internet connection here at HQ has been reduced to quarter of a MB which means it takes us a lot longer to upload games. Hopefully though things will get back to normal this month so you can expect at least 10 new games a week.

Will Barking Games release a new game this year? Wait and see...

30/08/2009:

All site enhancements have now been completed. Everything should now work, if you find anything which looks to be wrong then please contact me. Here are the recent changes:

You can now log in on any page without reloading the page. This makes it easy to add a quick comment for a game.
Tags work for each game, these are displayed above a game, clicking on any tag will take you to the search page and display all games with the tag you have clicked on.
Games returned from search results are now displayed better.
Any games in a series have the other games in that series listed below the game.
The homepage now has top games updated hourly plus 6 random games which you may or may not like.
The categories have been changed so that arcade has been split into platform and breakout and special has been put in different menus.
The categories pages now shrink to the proper size. There are also page numbers along the bottom so that you can quickly go to the page you want.

Most importantly though over 100 games have been added over the past 2 months. So go check them out!

The site has been redesigned to make it easier to find games and also gives you more interaction. You can now become a member for free. Here is a list of all site improvements:

You can now search for a game with any keyword at the top of the screen.
You can become a member of the site for free. Click on register at the top of the page for the benefits of becoming a member. You can log in on any page at the top of the page as well.
There is a new section called walkthroughs where walkthroughs for games will be posted (as the name suggests!).
Games now have more details stored about them. You can also rate games and leave comments if you are a member.
It is now much easier for us to add games to the site so expect updates at least once a week with only the very best games.
The category pages have been optimized so that they load faster. Some new categories have been added and others have been grouped.
The site has also been moved to a new server which makes it cheaper to run and means the site can remain free.
As a taste of what is to come 3 new games have already been added with 100 more coming in the next month.

Please let me know what you think about the improvements.

I have added 36 new games which brings the total to over 290!
I have added a new category physics games and I have also split up extreme driving and point and click games to make it easier to find the game you want.

I have released a new version of Time Escape which has corrected a few major bugs. The game now loads correctly for one thing. Click here to play the newer version.

28/10/2008:

80 new games have been added. This brings the total to over 250.
Sports games have been split up into Golf and Other Sports. Also Ability, Extreme Driving and Puzzle Games have been split up onto different pages.
You can now go straight to the game you want to play. Under the Barking Games logo on the right there is a pop up menu with every game listed. Just click on the game you want to play and you will be taken straight to the right page.
Emails have been updated. You can either fill out the online form or click on my email address to email me using your own mail program. Click on contact to see the new form.
I have made a third game called Time Escape. It is a room escape game, you have to use items and think hard in order to escape.
